Youtube is the second largest search engine in the world and video content continues to rise. If you are not currently capitalizing on video content within your digital marketing strategy, you are missing out on effective ways to communicate with your audience. Not sure where to start? Or simply looking for new ideas to spice it up a bit? The intent of this article is to discuss some creative ways to implement video content into your Marketing strategy. First, let’s briefly discuss what should consider when brainstorming on your video content strategy.

When creating video content ideas, always consider who your audience is and set up goals for performance. Select brand messaging that will cater to that audience and stick with that messaging for the entirety of the campaign. If creating a series of videos, they should all portray your brand consistently and approach the topic from different angles while still pushing the same message. Make sure your budget makes sense for your objectives and optimize your videos for each channel.

Okay, now implementation! There are tons of ways to implement video content into your strategy, below are three unique ideas to get your started.

Consider a Facebook Video Series

A video series would be set up similar to a short TV show series. The initial video to be launched would be a compiled “Sneak Peak” or trailer that shows the overall goal of the series and what will be revealed – its purpose is to get people excited and have them return to see the first full video. The series does not need to be super long, 3-5 videos, 2- 5 minutes each. These videos should be less about pushing direct sales and more about providing information, positioning you as an expert in your field. An example would be a truck accessories shop doing custom builds on a vehicle and walking you through each step of the process. Each video could show a stage of the process and end with an “unveiling” to the customer. You could even do a series follow up featuring a testimonial from the customer.

Animated Videos

Animated videos are excellent for concepts that are harder to grasp or that require stronger visuals for abstract ideas. 65% of people are visual learners so having visuals paired with your products or services is super beneficial to helping people understand how it works. You can bring any concept to life with an animated video. Animated videos can be pushed out through Youtube or social media as well as on your website homepage and product descriptions.

Behind the Scene Videos

As a business owner, you understand that it takes a lot of behind the scenes work to get products or services to the end consumer. The processes and systems you put in place along with what you stand for as a company are not always portrayed to customers, and they should be! Consider doing a behind the scenes video that interviews owners and does a walk through of your facility. You can even do a “A day in the life of” video and film a manager or owner throughout the day. This helps emotionally connect you with your customers and makes them more likely to be a repeat customer. Customers like transparency and there is no better way to achieve this than letting them see what your product or services entails from start to finish.
